The Homerunners meeting is on Monday, November 20th, 6 pm at CLC.

The Ecumenical Thanksgiving Service will be held on Wednesday, November 22nd at 7:00 PM. Local food donations brought to the church will be distributed to the food shelves. Checks may be given to World Hunger Appeal. Pumpkin desserts are needed for after the service. Please sign up on the kiosk.

Sign up Today for the Operation Christmas Child Distribution Center: Saturday November 25th. 11:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. Anyone age 13 and older is welcome to help. We will be taking the church bus and leaving at 11am. Our Shift to help is from 12pm. to 2:00pm and we will return to the church at 3pm. Sign up on the kiosk TODAY and fill out a volunteer waiver form in the office or on the youth board. This is an opportunity for youth and families or individuals to do together. Everyone is welcome to sign up. Questions? Talk to Teri Fick or Beth Kromer.

New Members will be received next Sunday, November 26th at the 8:30 AM worship service. Please call Pastor Haug for a visit.

One of today’s bouquets is from Pastor Melodi’s family in honor of her birthday. Happy Birthday, Pastor Melodi from Aunt Becky and family.

College Student Check-in, November 22nd at 8:00 (after the worship service):  All college age people are invited to gather together at the Steiner’s on November 22nd, after the Thanksgiving eve service. This is just going to be a time to see how life is going for everyone and share stories.  It’s going to be a blast to see everyone.  Email David at davidclc@frontiernet.net if you are able to attend. Parents you may want to send this to your college student.

No Confirmation Wednesday, November 22nd.  We will meet again Wednesday, November 29th.  This week would be a good time to catch up on Sermon notes with two worship services this week, Wednesday night and Sunday.  Also, think about how you can serve your neighbors or family members this week to catch up on your service hours.

Christmas Tree Sale, December 2nd 8:00-11:00:  Begin the celebration of Christmas by bringing a beautiful tree into your home.  Once again this year the youth of Christ Lutheran will be selling Christmas trees as a fundraiser for their many trips, camps and activities.  Trees of all shapes and sizes will be available.  Stop by and check them out.

Mark your Calendars for Mon. Dec. 4th. 6pm.-8pm. Effective Parenting. An evening with Jan Rossbach: Parent Facilitator and Educator. Neal and Leandra Christmas Concert, December 2nd at 7:30:  Neal and Leandra are fantastic songwriters and performers.  They have blessed our congregation with many opportunities to hear them over the years.  This year, they are very excited to have the opportunity to share their first Christmas program.  This is going to be a wonderful concert. Tickets can be purchased in the Nyman center between services or in the church office during the week.

Bountiful Support Makes Holiday Bazaar a Success
WELCA and the Bazaar Committee would like to thank all of you who supported this year’s Bazaar and Bake Sale. All of the wonderful items that were lovingly made and crafted became treasures for the many of you that supported us by shopping and of course eating! We sold over $6900.00 worth of delicious and delightful items!  The matching funds from the Washington County Thrivent Chapter and the Sundance Family Foundation allowed us to increase our global mission support. The money will be used to “bring light the church in Ugesa” and to provide scholarship support to students in Tanzania.  The remaining funds will be used to support local project and regional mission programs. Also, a heartfelt thanks you to all the volunteers who came and helped throughout the whole week and day of the bazaar. It takes many, many hands to make this event a success and your time and efforts made it more fun and lightened the workload for all! Thank you!!

The Adult Fellowship Christmas Progressive Dinner will be held Saturday, December 9th at the festive, welcoming home of Jim and Cheryl Reinitz. Appetizers again will be served at 5:30. Please sign up on the kiosk to host a dinner or to bring appetizers or desserts. The cost is $15 for all non-hosting participants.

For ALL Families-Save the date: Thurs Nov. 30th the 3rd Annual Family Advent Fair for all ages and all families. We’ll have lots of Make-it, take-it crafts, (great Christmas gifts), Live Music and Clogging, Holiday Treats and Goodies and new this year~ a yummy Bake sale. Bring your camera! Fun for the entire family is from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in Torgeson Hall. A suggested donation of $5 per child would be appreciated.
